The first official autumn day is knocking on the door which means that every football fan is getting ready for a football season and… tailgate parties.
Tailgating has a lot of meaning for football fans. It is also an amazing opportunity to catch up with friends, enjoy delicious food with drinks and get ready for the “big game.” If you are going to one of them, you need to think about drinks, food and football decorations.
For some fans it is a family celebration, for others – a good way to get out and have fun. Whatever it is, using the symbols of your team on your food, car or even clothes show your incredible support and that you are an important sign for your favorite team. Chocolate decorations can beautify your home-cooked biscuits and cupcakes. Butter frothing and chocolate candies can add some extra flair, too. Also try cutting some of your team’s symbols from fruits and do not forget to pick up a decoration tape, napkins, football toys and scarves. Let you imagination work for you.
So what food will you take for tailgating this year? One of the old-time favorites is a traditional potato salad, the history of which goes back to the 16th century. Nevertheless, it still remains a perfect party starter. However, packing your salad may become tricky unless you have enough portable food boxes. If packing is an issue, divide the salad into small portions and place them in cupcake forms. Otherwise, use a large salad bowl and you are ready to go.
Wraps, mini burgers and tacos are a great combination. Buy fresh beef cutlets for mini burgers or mince the meat for tacos, and chop lettuce, tomatoes, onions and cheese before you leave the house. Try preparing wraps at home, too, and then simply reheat them from both sides on your grill stove on the spot.
Barbeque is a great part of tailgate parties. After a long day in the fresh air you will get really hungry. Have some meat, fish, shrimp and sausages ready to throw on the grill and enjoy the rest of the day with your family and friends! For more healthy and easy recipes visit www.HelenaRecipes.com.
