This fall, IndyHumane invites the Indianapolis community and their pets to enjoy a socially distant, fully virtual event on September 26! Indy Mutt Strut is sure to be a doggone day of fun for all who attend from the safety of their own homes.
What Is Mutt Strut?
Mutt Strut is IndyHumane’s biggest fundraising event and so much more. We rely on participants’ fundraising to continue our mission of saving homeless pets and keep pets in their loving homes. In 2019, more than 3,800 cats and dogs found forever homes through our adoption program, and we served more than 10,000 animals through our low-cost clinics, Rescue Relief program and community outreach efforts.
There are a number of ways folks can help and get involved with Mutt Strut. Families, coworkers, school, or church groups can register as individuals or create teams to fundraise for the dogs and cats at IndyHumane. We encourage individuals and team to create their own socially distant fundraisers to raise money to support our mission and earn prizes, incentives, and recognition for your team!
Top Dog for 2021
The top individual fundraiser will be named Top Dog for 2021, and their pet will appear throughout marketing materials, posters, shirts, and the indymuttstrut.org website site for next years’ event! The top team will also be recognized and awarded for their amazing support of Mutt Strut and IndyHumane.
Indy Mutt Strut wouldn’t be possible without support from the Indianapolis and surrounding communities. We have an amazing team who has worked hard all year to plan and execute this wonderful event as well as dedicated volunteers who donate their time to assist with various duties the day of the event.
New Virtual Format
We are excited for this new virtual format and are working hard to plan a day of interactive activities. Head to indymuttstrut.org to learn more, register, and keep an eye on our social media pages for fun contests, challenges, and ways to stay engaged until the big day.
Registrants will receive a limited-edition shirt as well as a reusable bag full of coupons, freebies, and offers from our sponsors and vendors. We will offer several options for socially distant or zero-contact packet pickup throughout September, both at our Michigan Road shelter and at sponsor locations across Indianapolis.
It goes without saying that COVID-19 has had a profound impact on our community and our organization, and we are already seeing an increased need for our services throughout Indianapolis.
